December 14th, 2010

It was so hard to get through the beginning of the week.  Thursday morning and the beginning of our trip to Utah couldn't begin soon enough for me!!  Fortunately I was physically feeling good.

We were up at 3am to get ready and get our 6am flight out.  We were in Utah (SLC) at noon and immediately headed to Logan.  We were off to see Colby Majors in his college play "mid-summers night dream" and he didn't know we were coming!  On going out to dinner before the play, Leslie told Colby they had to stop and pick someone up.  When Colby saw us, is seemed like it was slow in registering that we were really and truly there.  The look on his face was priceless.

Friday morning, it was up and on the road back to SLC.  We got checked into the hotel there and had just enough time to spend too much money at a Deseret Book store before meeting JD & Katie for lunch.  It was wonderful having and opportunity to spend time with them face to face and catch up on things that were happening in each other's lives.

After lunch it was on down to Provo to John and Chelsea's place to spend time with them and their young'un Bridger.

Over the past several weeks we had been contacting and returned missionaries that lived out there and telling them that if they wanted to see us, then to meet us for dinner at the Brick Oven in Provo at 7pm.  It was awesome.  13 returned missionaries , some with wife, a couple with children and some with girlfriends showed up.  There were 25 of us sitting down to dinner.  We had a 2 month old baby there and a couple who got engaged only 1 hour previously!

I will make a second post to tell about our Saturday and Sunday.

This has been a very uneventful week for me.  I go to work and it is the same old same old every day.  When I get home I work on making sets of matching earrings and bracelets.  They will be some of what I give for Christmas presents this year.  I have managed to get the gift bags put together for Edie, Daniel & Desiree.  I am so happy to have that behind me.

The box to my parents and to my sister have been sent.  Seems the boxes cost more to ship than the contents these days!  Hope they are all happy with their gifts this year.

A very full week!  Monday I managed to get to the chiropractor and get joints etc put back in place post fall.
Now the fun stuff is that the hotel insurance is making it extremely difficult to get them to pay for my visit!  Definitely not sitting well with me as I am asking for I one doctor's visit.  If they continue to make things so difficult, I might have to sue.  Not what I want to do but there is a principle involved.

Tuesday after work I had the energy and so I got my pumpkin cheesecake made for Thanksgiving.  Thursday we went up to Deep Run about noon.  The crowd was there by 5pm when we began dinner.  Once again there were about 60 people there.  Noisy and crowded but always fun and enjoyable.

Friday and Saturday were spent getting Christmas decorations out of the attic and put up.  Kent had bought new LED net lights for the holly bushes outside the living room window.  Lights are up, tree up, 13 Nativity scenes are out and general seasonal decor up throughout the house.  I am exhausted and ready to go to work to relax!!
