I have made a decision - one I should have thought about and done ages ago. I am putting a reminder on my outlook calendar, to update this blog once a month! I am fortunate to have an iPhone that allows me to check my emails without getting on my computer. About a month ago I also got an iPad that allows me to read my eBooks and play my games without getting on the computer. I am getting on my computer less and less.
Spending more time doing bead work and also trying to make cards and calendars. So much better than wasting time on the computer. Hopefully good for maintaining my fine finger motion and helping cognitive issues.
Earlier this month Kent & I made a quick trip to Utah. Our first stop was to see Paisley, the daughter of our one and only "Spoiled baby brat", more commonly known as Doug Fowels
Doug & Kaeli's beautiful daughter Paisley.
It was wonderful to see Doug, Kaeli & Paisley. Just a shame that time was so short.
We then started making our way north and stopped to meet friends (the Gull Family) for lunch. Again it was wonderful to see everyone but just too short a visit.
Of course when we went through Manti, we detoured to get get some good photos of the Manti Temple.
In case we hadn't already crammed enough into the day, we stopped by John & Chelsie Cornu's to see them, Bridger and the latest addition, Braxon. Kent was sure to call John's mom Bonnie out in Oregon and rub in the fact that we got to see Braxon in person before she did!

Once we got to Provo, it was time to meet lots of friends for dinner at the Brick Oven. It is becoming a tradition for us when we travel to Utah, to let all our friends in the Provo area know when we are going to be there and to ask them to have dinner with us at the Brick Oven, This allows us to at least briefly see many of our friends that we normally wouldn't have time to visit.
Our friends Dr Chad, Natalie, Sakura & Seth had just moved from Wilmington to the Provo area the month before. It was nice to see them.

What was the main purpose of our trip? It was to visit with the grand babies and to be there for Taylor being blessed at church. We reserved all day Saturday and Sunday to be with Mike, Jess, Austin, Mason & Taylor Beau.
Saturday morning Jess and I left the "boys" and headed out to do a couple of errands and some shopping at the craft store. We majorly lucked out as Roberts was having a 50% off sale and so we got ourselves a bundle of stuff for $150.00 It was awesome and I was stoked with all we managed to get for our money. In the afternoon we all drove to Park City to visit Salt Lake Olympic Park.

Definitely a new take on "water skiing"!
After church on Sunday and an open house at Mike & Jess' it was most definitely time for a nap. Austin decided the best place to nap was on me!! A 4 year old on your shoulder for an hour or so gets very heavy over time!
We got to have an awesome grilled steak dinner at Mike & Jess' before it was time to head off to Salt Lake City for the night, so we could be up early and at the airport for the flight home in the morning.
The trip was awesome but far too quick. It was wonderful to see all the friends we were able to visit with but unfortunately there were still many we didn't get to see. Thanks to everyone who made our trip so special.

On an MS note to this trip - because I have bladder issues due to my MS, I was concerned about leaks etc with all the traveling. I broke down and bought some adult 'underwear' for the trip. Was very surprised that they were not at all bulky and not at all noticeable under my carpi's. I wore them everyday of the trip and as you would have it, because I was prepared I didn't experience one leak or urgency on the trip!! Did learn first hand though, that this is something easy to do for trips etc and will definitely do it again in the future.
